We’re NOT just for cowboys! Everyone is welcome here!! We are prone to leave man-made traditions behind in our pursuit of being a biblical church reaching out to the world in the Spirit of Love. Our motto is “make footprints, not butt prints” because our Lord Jesus Christ never called believers to warm a pew on Sunday mornings.
Our purpose is to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ to the world through whatever means God gives us.
Statements of Faith
THE HOLY BIBLE
We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, equally in all parts, in the whole, and is totally inerrant in the original manuscript. We further believe it is the supreme revelation from God and of God, superior to conscience and reason, and is our infallible rule in all matters. We believe that all Scripture centers about the Lord Jesus Christ, and hence no portion is properly read nor understood until it leads to Him. (John 5:39; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Peter 1:22-25; Hebrews 4:12)
THE GOD HEAD
We believe in the Eternal Godhead who has revealed Himself as One God existing in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, distinguishable but indivisible. (Matthew 28:18-19)
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, all God and all man. We believe in the pre-existence and incarnation of the Lord Jesus Christ. We also acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord over all things in heaven, in the earth and under the earth. He died on a cross for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into Heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father, and is now our High Priest and Advocate. (John 1:1-2, 3:16; 14; 1 Timothy 3:16; Acts 7:37-38; Romans 4:8; Philippians 2:9-11; Hebrews 7:25)
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit, though omnipresent from all eternity, after the glorification of Jesus Christ was sent on the Day of Pentecost, dwells in every believer, unites all to Christ in one body, and is the source of all power and all service. We believe that through the ministry of the Holy Spirit evil is restrained in the world; there is the reproving of sin; righteousness and judgment; the regenerating of all believers; the sealing of all believers unto the day of redemption; and the continued filling for power and service of those among the saved who are yielded to Him and to His will. We believe that the fruit of the Holy Spirit is the manifestation of the character of Christ in the believer’s life. We further believe that all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are available to Christians today and that all the gifts of the Spirit must operate in the church if the church is to manifest her full glory under the lordship of Jesus Christ. (John 14:26; 16:7-15; Romans 12:1-11; 1 Corinthians 6:19; 12; Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 4:11-13)
ANGELS, FALLEN AND UNFALLEN
We believe that God created an innumerable company of sinless spiritual beings known as angels. The one, “Lucifer, son of the morning,” highest in rank, sinned through pride, hereby becoming Satan, devil, accuser, deceiver, etc. A great company of angels followed him in his moral fall and has now become demons and evil spirits that are active as his fallen agents. (Isaiah 14:12-17; Ezekiel 28:11-19; 2 Peter 2:4; Jude 6) We believe that a great company of angels kept their holy estate and are now before the Throne of God, from whence they are sent forth as ministering and waring spirits to minister for those who are the heirs of salvation. (Luke 15:10; Ephesians 1:19-21; Hebrews 1:14)
THE CREATlON OF THE WORLD AND OF MAN
We believe that God sovereignly created the world out of nothing. We further believe that man was created in the image of God and by a direct and immediate act of God. (Genesis 1:1, 26-27, 2:4) We also believe in the test and fall of man as recorded in Genesis and his total spiritual depravity and inability to maintain divine righteousness. Only through regeneration by the work of the Holy Spirit can man’s salvation and spiritual life be obtained. (Romans 5:12, 18; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; 2 Corinthians 4:3-4)
SALVATlON ONLY THROUGH JESUS CHRIST
We believe that Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, and personally appeared unto His disciples. (1 Corinthians 15:1-7; Romans 4:25) We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of calvary by which we obtain remission of sins. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12, 22; Romans 5:1, 11)
THE DOCTRINES OF BAPTISMS
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in order to fulfill the command of Jesus. (Matthew 28:19) We believe in the infilling of the Holy Spirit as a real experience that is subsequent to salvation. (Acts 2:1-4; 8:14-17; 10:44-46; 19:1-6; Romans 6:4)
DIVINE HEALING
We believe that all healing comes from God. (Exodus 15:26) We believe that healing was paid for by the stripes Jesus took on His back. (Isaiah 53:4-5; 1 Peter 2:24) We believe in the healing of the total body by divine power or divine healing in its varied aspects as practiced in the Holy Bible. (Matthew 4:23; 8:17; Acts 4:30; James 5:14)
THE CHURCH
We believe that there is one true universal church made up of genuine believers, and is composed of many local church ministries. These churches are under the sovereign headship of the Lord Jesus Christ, exercising autonomous government under Him, administering all its local affairs and ministries, as well as the propagation of the Gospel. These churches shall manage their own affairs and shall not be subject to any other religious body or organization, religious or otherwise. We believe in working together with all believers for the furtherance of the Kingdom of God. (Matthew 16:16-18; 18:15-20; John 17:21; Romans 12:5; Ephesians 1:20-23; Colossians 3:14-15)
THE LORD’S SUPPER
We believe that through the Lord’s Supper the believer renews and affirms the reality of the New Covenant. It is a memorial commemorating the price Jesus paid for us in His death and a reaffirmation of His imminent return. (Matthew 26:26-29; 1 Corinthians 11:23-30)
WORSHIP
We believe that the whole purpose of man is to glorify God and to delight in Him forever. Therefore, we believe in the act of worshiping God with one’s total being as set forth in the Holy Bible. (Psalms 150; Mark 12:29-31; Ephesians 5:18-21)
MINISTERS OF THE CHURCH
We believe in the divinely called, commissioned, and recognized ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, elders, deacons, gifts of healings, workers of miracles, those who are used by the Holy Spirit to manifest the gift of wisdom, the gift of knowledge, discerning of spirits, faith, prophecy, tongues and interpretation of tongues, helps, exhorters, givers, administrators, hospitality, singers, musicians, comforters, counselors, writers, children’s workers, youth workers, tradesmen, ushers, and instructors in natural and spiritual areas, etc. (Ruth 2-3; 1 Chronicles 15; Isaiah 9:6-9; Acts 13:1-4; 1 Corinthians 12; 1 Corinthians 13; Ephesians 4:11-16; Romans 12)
LAYING ON OF HANDS
We believe in the doctrine of laying on of hands for:
- The confirming of believers to commitment and ministry in church ministry.
- The confirming of one’s call by God to special ministry. (Acts 13:1-4)
- Imparting of spiritual gifts. (1 Timothy 4:14; 2 Timothy 1:6)
- The experiencing of the infilling of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 8:17-18)
- The ministry of healing for the afflicted, diseased, sick, and infirmed and for deliverance in the Name of Jesus Christ. (Mark 16:16-18. Verse 18 is the key verse)
- The blessing and dedication of children to the Lord. (Mark 10:16)
THE RESTORATION OF ALL THINGS
We believe that all things lost by the Fall are now being restored by Jesus Christ in and through the ministry of His church and that there will be total and ultimate restoration of all things by the Lord Jesus Christ. (Daniel 7:14; Acts 3:21; Revelation 21:1-5)
THE ETERNAL STATE
We believe that at death the spirits and souls of those who have trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ pass immediately into His presence. They remain in His presence until the resurrection of the glorified body when Jesus Christ comes for His own; whereupon spirit, soul and body reunited shall be with Him forever in glory. But the spirits and souls of the unbelieving remain conscious of condemnation after death and in misery until the final judgment of the Great White Throne, when spirit, soul, and body reunited shall be cast into the Lake of Fire, not to be annihilated, but to be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power. (Luke 16:19-26; 23:42; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:23; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9; Jude 6, 7; Revelation 20:11-15)
